Cumberland Island - St. Marys,
Georgia, the gateway to Cumberland Island National Seashore, is a small coastal
village located in southeast Georgia. It remains one of Georgia's best kept secrets,
a place rich in history, natural beauty and Southern hospitality.
St. Marys and Cumberland Island National Seashore are the perfect escape from
the hustle and bustle of everyday life. |
 
A guided tour of this 64 room mansion is included. This plantation took
200 slaves and servants to keep it operational.On the island is the African
American Church where young Kennedy was married. |

Stay more than one day and you are likely to catch views of wild horses, feral
pigs, and maybe an otter and alligator or two. Of course, you've got the usual
shorebirds as well as the porpoises and whales. |

Built in 1916, the Riverview Hotel rests on the
banks of the St. Marys river, across the street from the ferry to Cumberland
Island. The Hotel boasts a sitting room and a verandah, and eighteen guest rooms
with private baths, air conditioning, cable TV and includes a deluxe continental
breakfast. Located inside the inn, our restaurant features a weekly lunch
buffet, dinner Monday through Saturday and a Sunday Grand Lunch Buffet. Enjoy a
night out at Seagle's Saloon and Patio Bar, where good friends meet, new and
old.
The hotel is still in its original form as it was
over 100 years ago. This gives you a taste of what it was like in that era. No
renovations here baby!!!

Ferry from St. Marys to Cumberland Island

This is St. Marys Georgia. If you can see the brown/white
striped van parked at the dock, the hotel is right behind it with the BLUE
Canopies hanging over the stores below. Above those canopies are rooms
that face the river. |

| Friday, April 25 - St. Mary's, Georgia |
Arrival day and hotel check-in. Get settled in and help other singles arriving
make the most of their stay.
Enjoy the riverfront park across the street from the hotel. |
| Saturday, April 26 - Cumberland Island |
We will gather at
8:830am and board the ferry at 9am. Plenty of time to get acquainted on
the 45 min ferry ride to the beach.
Lunch is included. |
| Sunday, April 27 - Beach/Plum Orchard |
On this day we'll take a 45 min ferry to Cumberland Island. You will walk
through one of the most amazing tropical forest in the United States before
reaching the beach for a picnic lunch. After lunch, another ferry will take us
30 additional minutes up the coast where you will arrive at the Plum Orchard
plantation for a guided tour of this slave plantation from the past. |

Monday, April 28 - Jekyll Island |
Those wanting to take advantage of the optional Jekyll Island tour, check-out is
at 9AM.
We take an optional drive 30 minutes to Jekyll Island where we will tour the summer homes of
billionaires from around the world via trams. The tour last 90 minutes by tram.
Afterwards, you will be taken back to the hotel in St. Marys.
Please note: This tour is unavailable to those with flights departing before
4pm. This trip is optional but strongly recommended. Hotel check-out is today.

| Transportation Notes |
Transportation to St. Mary's Georgia is not included. Transportation to
Jekyll Island also isn't included. However; we will carpool as much as we
can. Those without a car have first priority.
You may fly into Jacksonville, Florida. You may get a car rental at the
airport. If you do not want to rent a car, If you do not want to
rent a car, we can make arrangements for max to pick you up and bring you to
the hotel. It is a 45 min ride and only cost $45 for 1 adult and $25 per
person double one-way.
