St. Mary's Georgia Hotel Location
  September 26 - September 29, 2008
Cumberland Island - St. Marys, Georgia, the gateway to Cumberland Island National Seashore, is a small coastal village located in southeast Georgia.  It remains one of Georgia's best kept secrets, a place rich in history, natural beauty and Southern hospitality. St. Marys and Cumberland Island National Seashore are the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

A guided tour of this 64 room mansion is included.  This plantation took 200 slaves and servants to keep it operational.

On the island is the African American Church where young Kennedy was married.

Stay more than one day and you are likely to catch views of wild horses, feral pigs, and maybe an otter and alligator or two.  Of course, you've got the usual shorebirds as well as the porpoises and whales.

The Riverview Hotel - St. Marys, Georgia

Built in 1916, the Riverview Hotel rests on the banks of the St. Marys river, across the street from the ferry to Cumberland Island. The Hotel boasts a sitting room and a verandah, and eighteen guest rooms with private baths, air conditioning, cable TV and includes a deluxe continental breakfast. Located inside the inn, our restaurant features a weekly lunch buffet, dinner Monday through Saturday and a Sunday Grand Lunch Buffet. Enjoy a night out at Seagle's Saloon and Patio Bar, where good friends meet, new and old.

The hotel is still in its original form as it was over 100 years ago.  This gives you a taste of what it was like in that era.  No renovations here baby!!!
